Women’s International Trophy presents the 2026 results
- Women are the largest target group for wine consumption
- The best wines, beers, spirits and, for the first time, olive oils are selected in Mainz
- Mainz as host city – at the heart of an international wine culture
- Renowned wine expert Trixi Bannert is the Honorary President 2026
The sixth edition of the Women’s International Trophy took place in Mainz on May 5, 2026. The international tasting competition relies on the expertise of women from the world of fine foods and beverages: a highly qualified, exclusively female jury evaluated around 750 samples from 25 countries in a blind tasting. The products were judged in the categories of wine, beer, spirits and, for the first time, olive oil.
A total of 246 products received medals. The Women’s International Trophy is not only a quality competition, but also a platform that promotes female expertise and visibility within the international gastronomy and beverage industry. Sommeliers, winemakers, oenologists, brewmasters and distillers once again brought their international expertise to Mainz.
As the host city, Mainz — located in the heart of Rheinhessen, Germany’s largest wine-growing region — once again provided the ideal setting for this celebration of international wine culture. The honorary president of the Women’s International Trophy 2026 was Trixi Bannert, chairwoman of Vinissima Frauen & Wein e.V.
