Who can present wine?
- wine producers and winemakers
- groups of co-operative wineries
- importers
- wine merchants
What must the wine analysis report contain?
An analysis report per wine (level of alcohol, glucose + fructose sugars, total and volatile acidity, so2, excess pressure from carbon dioxide for sparkling).
Which wines are allowed to compete?
All vintages are allowed in the competition.
How many products can be presented?
You are not limited in the number of products you can present. Wine merchants must have a mandate for the presentation of wines they do not own.
What should be written on the package for customs?
Please use a parcel service provider such as TSM or the Nagel Group (specialist for food logistics), DHL, UPS, FedEx etc. for shipping from a non-EU country, not the local post office.
A shipment by local post can delay the delivery by weeks because of the complicated customs process.
Do not hesitate to contact us for the contact details of these companies.
Each delivery must be accompanied by a commercial invoice and packing list with the following details:
General details:
- Your company name and address
- Consignee details: Armonia Deutschland GmbH, Im Niedergarten 10, 55124 Mainz, Germany
- Consignee EORI number: DE967767354832043
- Product name
- Weight single, total weight
- Single value -> customs value is 0,50 EUR
- Total value -> total value of shipment is less than 20.00 EUR (20 $)
- Country of origin
- Signed invoice from a representative of the producer
For cheeses, dairy products and cured meat products, you will need these additional documents:
- Veterinary certificate from the country of production
- If you have an authorisation to import goods into the European Union, please attach your certificate.
If you do NOT have an authorisation certificate for the European Union, please contact us!
In addition, depending on the product, special details are required on the commercial invoice:
Cheese: HS Code and type of cheese (cow, goat, sheep etc.)
Cured meat products: HS code and type of meat (pork, beef, poultry, etc.)
Wine, beer, spirits: Alcohol content as well as the exact quantities (e.g. 3 bottles à 0,75L)
Beer: Degree Plato
The product cannot be imported without this information!
How many samples need to be sent?
Wines: 3 labelled bottles per wine must be sent to the address indicated on the form. The wines must have a label and a cap.
Delivery time and address
When you register your products, you will receive an e-mail from us with a dispatch note containing all the important information about the delivery time and address.
Terms of delivery - Delivery from Non-EU countries
DDP Delivered Duty Paid (free delivery incl. customs clearance, duties and taxes).
Additional required texts - Delivery from Non-EU countries
Please write the following on all customs documents: "Dies ist eine Mustersendung für eine professionelle Verkostung, die Women’s International Trophy. Diese ist nach Art. 90 (2) der Zollbefreiungsverordung als Leistungsschau des Handels und der Landwirtschaft einzustufen. Die eingesendeten Proben haben keinen kommerziellen Wert und gehen nicht in den Verkauf. Sie werden von den Produzenten lediglich zur Verkostung zur Verfügung gestellt. Bitte fertigen Sie die Ware anhand der eingereichten Rechnung ab, der Musterwert ist auf der Rechnung angegeben."

What are the categories?
Can a beer be presented in more than one category?
Yes. A beer can be presented in more than one category, with more than one style.
How many samples need to be sent?
Beers: 3 labelled bottles, per product presented
There are no requirements for packaging type or capacity. You may send a bottle, can or any other type of packaging, with a capacity of 75cl, 50cl, 33cl or 25cl.
