The medal winners 2021 are online!

Mainz, 07.07.2021. Armonia Deutschland GmbH presented its new wine and spirits competition - the Women's International Trophy - on 25 and 26 June. The organiser launched a strong and unique competition in Germany: Wines and spirits from all over the world are tasted by an international jury consisting exclusively of female tasters, all experts in the wine and spirits branch. These include expert profiles such as (fine brandy) sommeliers, oenologists, winemakers and master distillers.

Due to Covid-19, the first edition took place in the organiser's private tasting rooms, in compliance with all necessary hygiene and distance measures. From 2022, the competition is going to be held at a prestigious location in Mainz.

Results 2021
It's a promising start: 900 samples from 29 countries were submitted for the 1st edition. Among them wines from the U.S., Argentina, South Africa, Croatia, Moldova and many more. The spirits tasting surprised the tasters with exotic samples from countries like Fiji or the Dominican Republic. The best samples were awarded gold and silver medals. This guarantees a strict selection for the consumer at all times.

Of  900 samples, 287 wines and spirits were awarded the popular medals.

Awards per Trophy:
Wine - 221 medals; of which 190 gold and 31 silver.
Spirits - 66 medals: of which 44 gold and 22 silver

Next edition in 2022
The organiser, Armonia, is satisfied with the start of the first edition. The next tasting is already being planned and will take place in Mainz 13 May 2022.
